Abstract
Recent technological advances in endoscopy and medical lasers are now marking operative pelviscopic procedures are already replacing suregeries previously performed by laparotomy with equivalent or superior results, faster recovery time, minimal
hospitalization and decreased cost The laser provides the laparoscopist a versatile, surgical instrument that can precisely cut, coagulate or vaporize tissue safely a closed abdomen.
Several lasers lasers have undergone evaluation for pelviscopic surgery and include; the carbon dioxide (CO): the non-contact Nd: YAG; the argon; and the potassium-titanyl-phosphate (KTP) laser. we introduce physicians to biophysical principles
of
laser, so they enables to employ lasers in various surgical procedures safely and effectively.
